LIMITOR LIMITADORES DE TEMPERATURA E INTENSIDAD

A good idea also has room in a small housing.
Temperature detectors and limiters from limitor are completely based on hybrid technology. This totally unique concept using bimetal elements and A1203 ceramic substrates guarantee five-fold protecion and numerous benefits:

Spontaneous response since the ceramic conducts heat well and the plastic housing cannot absorb much heat.
This fine Temperature sensitivity allows he components to be installed outside of the winding and immediately next to the heat source. As a result, costs are kept low and installation at a later stage is also possible.
Responese to installation faults since the ceramic breaks under mechanical stess thus interrupting the power supply.

The hybrid technology allows additional function:

Auto-triggering of the switch resulting from a resistance which heats up the thermostatic switch in the case of internal overloading.
This triggering resistance, correctly adapted to the maximum current, ensures a fast response.
Latching:Once switched off, the current supply only starts to floe again when the voltage has been manually interrupted(brief disconnection from the network).

The name Limitor is a guarantee of first-class material and first-class processing quality. The new housings, able to withstand voltages of up to 2kV, are made of self-extinguishing plastic and are fully encapsulated. Long-term durability is guaranteed up to 160¢Jand short-term durability up to 200¢J/min.

Keep cool
Overheating is the most frequent reason behind the destruction of electrical devices. As a result of overloading, jamming, stiff bearings, inadequate cooling, motors begin to overheat and cables char through until the whole lot blows. There is then only one thing you can do:Switch off.

This is exactly what Limitor "P" temperature detectors does. If the temperature rises above the premitted value, they switch off the power supply and do not switch it on again until the temperature has dropped.

Sure out
Q-series Limitor tempreature limiters also respond to rises in tempreature and break the electronic circuit. In contrast to their P-counterparts, the power remains switched off (latching) until the voltage is manually interrupted, for example by somebody pulling out the plug.
Faster than the short-circuit
Limitor temperature and current limiters (Y) respond to increases in temperature and/or if the power supplied at least doubles. They break the electric circuit and only make it again when device has been disconnected from the mains supply. Owing to theire extremely compact design, these Limitor fuse components can be installed in praticlly all domestic appliances and miniature devices, electric tools, transformers and charging devices, laboratory and process controllers.
Within specific boundaries
The response point of Limitor thermostats can be set to temperatures of between 40¢J and 180¢J. Depending on the application, they break or make an electric contrast. Or they break the circuit and will not make it again until the device is disconnected from the mains supply.
